About The Role

We are currently seeking an outstanding Administrator who will play a key role in supporting the Academy of Music & Theatre Arts, an academic department that teaches music, theatre, dance, and technical theatre, and also hosts a year-round public programme of events. It is an exciting and varied role and involves offering administrative support to academics and students across the courses.

This role requires a customer-focused, pro-active and flexible approach, plus the ability to prioritise workload to adapt to variations in demand. You can find more details about the Academy of Music & Theatre Arts here.

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of undertaking a wide range of administrative duties, be proficient to an advanced level in utilising Microsoft Office applications and be able to demonstrate an ability to take responsibility for tasks and deliver according to deadlines.

We are also looking for candidates with the following skills/experience:

  • Experience of undertaking a wide range of administrative activities.
  • Previous experience of working in a customer-focused environment including the provision of advice and guidance.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with colleagues, students and external contacts with proven ability to convey information in a clear and accurate manner and a desire to resolve issues.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Flexible approach to daily duties and responsibilities.

    This is a fixed term until October 2023, full-time, 35 hour per week position.
