POSITION DETAILS

The Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing preparesnurses for 21st century practice in complex, urban environments and with diverse populations. The School includes 28 full-time and 91 part-time faculty members, with 601 undergraduates and 687 graduate students.

This position reports directly to the Dean of Nursing,

In addition to general duties, the Administrative Officer will collaborate with the Dean and other senior staff on planning strategies for the School of Nursing's growth and development.

Provide effective implementation of action plansto support operations,sustain quality within budget guidelines, andachievestrategic objectives.

Oversee the creation, collection, and maintenance of program and institutional reports, working closely with the Dean, chairs, and program coordinators to achieve timely submission of documents.

Develop and implement administrative procedures pertaining to the full complement of the School of Nursing's administrative and HR procedures, and will manage the recruitment and hiring of all faculty and staff.

Overseeand monitor staff performance against the assigned measures. Act as the primary consultant and staff advisor and work with team to ensure successful completion of their projects.

Provide support to the Dean on matters related to accreditation, national recognition, and/or other assessments.

Under the direction of the Dean, the Administrative Officer will work on special projects and handle day to day trouble shooting in support of school- wide initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree and eight years' relevant experience required. Other Qualifications:

Prior experience with collaborating with multiple departments/agencies preferred. Occasional evening/ weekend hours as needed.

Ability to navigate a variety of online educational tools and programs; Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

Ability to remain flexible and handle vague or changing information;

Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of institution's programs, academic requirements, policies, procedures, and support services;

Willingness to share knowledge, learn from mistakes, accept personal responsibility, and develop multiple competencies;

Ability to perform all of the essential functions, skills, and specifications of the position; Ability to follow leadership and college-wide procedures;

Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks, organize and prioritize tasks; Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Vaccine Requirement:

Candidates will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment.
