USC's Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences, The School of Philosophy, is seeking an Administrative Assistant I to serve as an administrative resource for School of Philosophy's faculty and students. This is a full-time, fully on-site work arrangement.
Tasks include (but are not limited to) maintaining the Department's reception area; greeting guests and accepting packages for the department; handling all incoming mail; working with the Program Administrator to confirm conference room and hotel reservations; maintaining departmental calendars; overseeing travel and other arrangements for department faculty and visitors; processing of reimbursements for travel and other expenses; preparing reports, correspondence, meeting materials, presentations, and other materials; setting up and starting meetings on Zoom or other virtual meeting platforms; working with and providing back-up for other administrative assistants in the department; and assisting in the prioritization of projects and tasks.
The Administrative Assistant will be expected to work effectively on multiple projects, set priorities, and maintain schedules. The Administrative Assistant will be an integral member of the Philosophy Department's administrative team, and successful candidates must be flexible with job responsibilities and possess a willingness to aid in new administrative tasks when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hourly range: The hourly rate range for this position is $21.68 - $27.30.
