Administrative Assistant II/Executive Officer, Academic Area Administration in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 528713) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a good bachelor's degree with at least 4 years' full-time work experience in administration, preferably in a tertiary institution. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); excellent presentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills; the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure with a high degree of independency, and be attentive to details. They should also be good team players and be able to supervise a team of supporting staff to drive for the work outcomes. Candidates with less experience will be considered as Executive Officer.
The appointee will work in the Academic Area Administration Office, and will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the undergraduate (UG) and research postgraduate (RPg) course administration of the six Academic Areas under the unitary Faculty structure. The appointeewill work closely with the Faculty Office and/or Programme Office to provide support to faculty members on UG and RPg teaching matters, including but not limited to timetabling, course outline collection, classroom allocation, tutorial arrangements, exam- related matter and the management of Teaching Assistants. The appointee will also perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. This may include providing support for academic meetings, or assisting with HR-related administrative tasks. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
