Applications are invited for appointment as Administrative Assistant I in the HKU Horizons Office (Ref: 528659), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.
Applicants should possess a good university degree with at least 8 years' work experience in administration. They should have good English writing skills, proven experience and ability in designing and managing workflow, good communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in office IT operation. They should also be highly motivated, meticulous and efficient, able to work under pressure and meet tight timelines, and proactive in identifying issues and resourceful in proposing solutions. Experience in administering overseas learning programmes would be a definite advantage.
The appointee will take lead in administering overseas learning programmes offered through the Horizons Office, and in planning and executing social media strategies. He/She will serve committees, handle programme and student administration, manage social media platform for the Office, organise events, assist in data collection, liaise with internal and external parties, supervise junior staff, and provide general administrative support. He/She may be required to work outside normal office hours and on weekends. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and interview.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
