About The Role: The Administrative Support Officer plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive administrative support to facilitate the smooth functioning of the Curtin Strategy and Marketing Porfolio. Our portfolio encompasses a diverse range of strategic and marketing initiatives that drive the university's vision forward. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop your administrative expertise while contributing to impactful projects within the Curtin Strategy and Marketing team.

The role involves a diverse range of tasks, including promptly addressing incoming inquiries and requests from school/area stakeholders in a proactive, accurate, and customer-centric manner, while ensuring compliance with relevant rules and regulations. Additionally, the role entails coordinating and scheduling meetings and appointments, which involves inviting attendees, securing venues, and organising catering as needed. In some cases, the officer may also be responsible for managing another staff member's schedule. Furthermore, the officer collaborates with various functional service areas such as HR and Finance to meet the operational needs of the portfolio.

Some Key Duties:

  • As the primary point of contact for our visitors and internal/external clients, your role involves providing a warm welcome and professional assistance.
  • General clerical tasks, such as photocopying and dispatch of correspondence, are part of your daily responsibilities.
  • Play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and timely records and forms.
  • You will be responsible for managing the procurement of essential office supplies, such as stationery and equipment, within the allocated budget and in consultation with relevant school/area staff.
  • Ensuring that records and information within the work unit are kept up to date and following proper archival or disposal procedures in accordance with University policy and legislation is vital to the smooth operation of the area.
  • As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia.
