  • About the Role

    Reporting to the Manager: Research Projects Development, the Administration Officer performs a broad range of administrative and operational duties. The position works as part of the UniSA Research Office and contributes to the effective operation of the Unit by supporting the smooth and effective operation of the Unit and its pre-award functions.

    The UniSA Research Office (URO) supports the Deputy Vice Chancellor: Research and Enterprise to realise strategic and operational initiatives. This is achieved by positioning UniSA to be responsive to the changing local, national and international environment and the delivery of high quality, effective support services to researchers and decision makers.

    Areas of research service activity span research grant development, negotiation and management of research contracts, post award administration and management research infrastructure, research integrity, research ethics and compliance and implementing strategic initiatives to improve the quality of researcher training and development to support capacity and capability development in research.

    The Research Projects Development Team is an integral part of the Research and Enterprise Portfolio and develops and manages systems for the effective development and administration of funding proposals to optimise successful outcomes.

    Essential Skills and Experience

  • Post-secondary qualifications and experience in administration or demonstrated equivalent experience, knowledge and skills in executive support
  • High level written communication skills with the ability to produce high quality documentation including reports, correspondence and presentation materials
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering professional, client focused services
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively and foster strong relationships with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external to an organisation
  • Demonstrated organisational skills to meet deadlines, prioritise competing demands and to use initiative based on sound judgement to operate in a busy and complex environment
