Faculty teaching undergraduate courses: doctorate or master's degree in the
teaching discipline or master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester
hours in the teaching discipline.
Faculty teaching graduate courses: earned doctorate / terminal degree in the
teaching discipline or a related discipline. UNC Charlotte gives primary
consideration to the highest earned degree in the discipline.

experiences in the field, professional licensure and certifications, honors
and awards, continuous documented excellence in teaching, or other

Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:
Part-time creative writing instructor specializing in fiction writing.
Qualified candidates will have an MFA degree at the time of the appointment.
They will have a promising record of creative activity with works of fiction
already published or under contract. Applicants should demonstrate a
commitment to excellent teaching, and those with experience teaching fiction
and other forms of creative writing are preferred. The Department of English

Duties and Responsibilities
UNC Charlotte is accepting applications for adjunct or part-time faculty.
These positions are temporary and usually involve teaching a particular course
