MOTLOW STATE COMMUNITY COLLEGE is accepting applications for the following position:
Title: Adjunct Medical Office Instructor
Motlow State Community College is seeking Adjunct Faculty to teach day, evening, and online Medical Office courses. Adjunct Faculty are part-time temporary Instructors who may teach no more than 12 credit hours per semester and are hired on a per semester basis. Adjunct Faculty must possess excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. The primary responsibility of adjunct faculty is to provide quality instruction for the students. In addition to teaching, the minimum faculty responsibilities to the college include the following: preparing course materials, preparing course outlines, reporting attendance at the beginning of the semester, and submitting grades at the end of the semester. Adjunct Instructors are also responsible for making students aware of academic resources.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Business, or Information Systems or a Bachelor's degree in another area with 18 graduate semester hours in one of the above fields from a regionally accredited institution by the appointment date.
Master 's degree in the above fields and Medical coding (ICD-10) certification preferred.
