Position Title: Adjunct Instructor

Department: English Term of Assignment: one semester Term End Date, If Applicable: FLSA Status: Exempt = not eligible for overtime Work Schedule: Salary: Competitive Travel: No travel Brief Statement of Duties Brief Statement of Duties: Teaching lower-division English courses including composition. This is a campus-based position. Minimum Qualifications Required Education: Master's Degree Discipline / Degree Area: English Required Specialized Training/Certifications: Required Minimum Work Experience: Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties: Knowledge of effective methods of teaching composition, ability to create assignments and respond to student work in a timely manner, willingness to work with the Director of Composition and other faculty to implement the curriculum, good organizational and communication skills. Additional Desirable Qualifications Additional Desirable Qualifications: Teaching experience at the college level preferred.
