Chemistry, the study of matter and its reactions, provides a basic
understanding needed to deal with a variety of societal and scientific needs,
including energy, food production, health and medicine, biotechnology, new
materials, environmental concerns, new processes, and national defense.

The Department of Chemistry seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct
Instructor Pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the
Fall 2021, Spring 2022, and Summer 2022 semesters. The specific courses
involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these
courses to develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching
The anticipated is for Adjunct Faculty position (0700) to instruct Chemistry
lecture or lab classes.
1. MS degree in Chemistry and 2 years experience teaching Chemistry lecture
or lab classes.
2. Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions applicable to teaching lab
Ph.D. in Chemistry desired with prior teaching experience in Chemistry lecture
of lab classes is preferred.
