Our undergraduate program offers students the opportunity to specialize in American Politics, Comparative Politics, International Relations, and Political Theory. The department also has strengths in areas that bridge traditional sub-field boundaries, such as Peace and Conflict, Political Institutions,a nd Race and Ethnic Politics. Exceptional students may apply to complete a Masters degree in political science while an undergraduate student.

Position Summary

The Department of Political Science seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2023, Spring 2024 and Summer 2024 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.

The anticipated need teaches one or more introductory or advanced classes in the areas of American government, comparative politics, international relations, political theory, or research methods. Some courses may be dual credit. Some courses will need to be delivered online.Some courses may be taught at the Frisco Branch Campus.

Minimum Qualifications

A Master's degree in political science or equivalent field is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. in political science and previous teaching at the college level is preferred.
