General Description
The University of North Alabama invites applications for adjunct (part-time)
teaching positions expected to be available during the current term. Persons
holding adjunct teaching positions normally teach three to six credit hours or
nine contact hours per semester. Payment for adjunct teaching is on a
standardized university scale according to credit or contact hours taught.
Application for this posting is an application for entrance into an approved
Adjunct Instructor pool from which instructors will be selected based on
enrollment.
For consideration for adjunct teaching and/or entrance to the approved pool,
complete adjunct application packets include official transcripts for ALL
schools attended. Please have official transcripts sent to employment@una.edu
for all schools attended. If you attended UNA, please click here to fill out
an online, electronic transcript request form. Your transcripts will be
delivered to HR and we will upload them to your application packet at no
charge to you.

Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of a Master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution is
required. Doctorate in Nursing or a related field from an accredited
institution and certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner is preferred.
Previous classroom or online teaching experience is appreciated. Other
requirements include five years' clinical practice, computer proficiency, and
an unrestricted nursing license for the State of Alabama or the ability to
obtain such.

transcripts. Electronic copies of transcripts may be emailed to
employment@una.edu. If electronic copies are unavailable, hard copies of
official transcripts must be sent to Human Resources at UNA Box 5043,
Florence, AL 35632 or brought to Cramer Way, Room 226. Official transcripts
must be sent directly to HR from the issuing school to be considered official.
Transcripts with a designation of “Issued to Student” will not be considered
