Position Overview:

Instruct Math courses at the Clinton Campus

Adjunct assignments may include days, evenings or weekends

Format for delivery may include lecture or hybrid

Examples of Duties / Knowledge & Skills

Responsibilities will include:

Course instruction; which may include PreAlgebra, Intermediate Algebra, PreCalculus Algebra or other courses as approved

Utilize technology (including Canvas)

Gradebook/feedback up-to-date within 1 week

Timely response to student emails within 24 hours

Meet attendance and final grade entry deadlines

ILO/data reporting to Lead Instructor/Division as requested

Maintain communication with Lead Instructor and Director

Minimum qualifications & Requirements

PreAlgebra & Intermediate Algebra: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics OR Bachelor's degree in closely related field, including completion of Calculus I, II & III

PreCalculus Algebra: Master's degree in MATH OR Master's degree and a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the discipline OR Master of Education degree with 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline.

Prior teaching experience at the college level and experience with computer mediated instruction preferred. The successful candidate will possess a working knowledge of computers as a medium to manage and improve instruction. Demonstrate evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrate student centeredness. Be able to interact with a broad range of people with diverse backgrounds both on and off campus, in a positive manner. Demonstrate a commitment to the philosophy and mission of the community college.

Pay Grade: $575.00 per credit hour
