Job Description:

The Siena College School of Business is seeking to hire an Adjunct Instructor to teach a Marketing Research Methods course. Research is the objective process of collecting and analyzing data in order to aid in the marketing and managerial decision-making process. Both analytical techniques and real-world experiences will be combined in this class. Major topics include survey and sampling methodologies, questionnaire construction, observation and experimental methodology, plus secondary data gathering. Students engage in research projects, and interpret statistical analysis of output from a computer statistical package.

As a result of active engagement of the learner, and active involvement with the individual and group projects, by the end of the semester the learner will be able to: appreciate the role and importance of marketing research within an organization; describe the steps involved in the marketing research process; analyze marketing problems and determine appropriate data requirements; assess the availability of secondary data; design and develop a survey to gather primary data; analyze data using appropriate statistical techniques; make managerial recommendations based on data analysis, etc.


The ideal candidate will have practical marketing/business analytics work experience as well as demonstrated teaching experience along with an earned degree in the field of business or management at the Master's level. Review of credentials will begin immediately. The start date is September 2022.
