Position Title Adjunct Instructor - Fashion Merchandising & Design Department Visual Arts/Design FLSA Exempt General Description

The University of North Alabama invites applications for adjunct (part-time) teaching positions expected to be available in the area of Apparel Design. Persons holding adjunct teaching positions normally teach three to six credit hours or nine contact hours per semester. Payment for adjunct teaching is on a standardized university scale according to credit or contact hours taught.

Essential Job Duties Additional Duties Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Minimum Qualifications

Master's or Doctoral degree in an appropriate field or significant professional accomplishments in the industry. All adjunct faculty are required to meet Southern Association of Colleges and Schools standards which required at minimum a master's degree and eighteen graduate semester hours in the teaching field. Preference will be given to applicants with significant experience in the Apparel Design industry including Apparel Illustration, Computer Aided Design for Apparel Patterns, Sustainability in Fashion, Draping, and Technical Design.
