Job Summary
Adjunct teaching position to teach Biology courses. The courses are taught in the day, evening, summer semesters, and face to face /or online. Locations for classes include the Port Arthur campus, dual-enrollment, Early College High School, and correctional facilities. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
A Masters degree in Biology is required or a Masters degree with 18 hours of graduate work in biology. Ability to work with students, faculty, and staff members in a professional manner. Ability to plan, schedule, and manage projects and assignments.
Normal classroom setting and with classroom labs. The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, speak, listen, and see. The employee is occasionally required to sit, lift, push, pull and carry objects.
Preferred Qualifications
Teaching experience at a two-year college or university.
