Position: Adjunct Instructor of Biology

Report To: Andrea Rose, Dept Chair of Natural Sciences

Classification: Temporary

Status: Part-time

DESCRIPTION:

MarsHill University, a private liberal arts institution located in the mountains of western North

Carolina, is seeking applicants for the position of Adjunct Instructor of Biology.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The candidate should have a M.S./M.A.in biology, health sciences, or related field. Experience with

teaching in a liberal arts setting, and advising at the undergraduate level are desirable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include teaching both the lecture and laboratory for the Introduction to Health Sciences course (NS115) for health sciences, pre-nursing and students in related majors. Opportunities

to teach other introductory biology and health sciences courses may be available.

DATE:

The appointment will begin with the Fall semester, second block in October 2021. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until a suitable applicant has been hired.
