Position Summary:
Mount Mary University is seeking individuals to join our community and contribute to the realization of our Mission through the role of adjunct instructors in the User Experience program. We are a community of faculty who value relationships with our students and colleagues. We are committed to a compassionate and effective undergraduate education for our students. Adjunct appointments are based on specific needs in assigned courses.
We need instructors for the following courses for fall 2023:
Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator Tuesdays & Thursdays 9:00-11:50
Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator Tuesdays & Thursdays 1:00-3:50
Fundamentals of Illustration Mondays & Wednesdays 6:00-8:50
Primary Responsibilities:
Manifest a commitment to the mission of Mount Mary University.
Incorporate effective teaching practices.
Collaborate with colleagues on course development and assessment.
Skills and Experience:
Proficiency with industry-standard software programs, such as the Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
Previous experience working with or teaching diverse populations is desired.
Professional experience working in the UX field or related design background.
Demonstrated design portfolio.
Qualifications:
Minimum requirements include a master's degree in the discipline, or 18 semester/27 quarter hours of graduate work in the discipline or an undergraduate degree with a minimum of seven years of demonstrated relevant professional experience.
