Job Description:

  • Class schedule: once a week, in the evenings
  • Duration of class: three hours
  • Time of class: sometime between 5PM and 9PM

A pioneer in innovative academic programs since 1897 Bay Path University is seeking an experienced adjunct faculty member to teach a graduate level natural science course on-ground, as listed below, for the spring 2022 academic semester, beginning January 18, 2022.

    Class times are yet to be determined, but plan to be scheduled sometime between the hours of 5 pm to 9 pm, on weekdays.

    Course Description: ASO 560 - Trace Analysis and Microscopy (3 credits) Trace Analysis and Microscopy provides an in-depth examination of the proper collection, preservation, identification and comparison of items such as hair, paint, glass, fibers, and soil and the techniques used to analyze these types of trace evidence. The theory and practical application of various types of microscopy methodologies used in trace analysis are discussed.

    This is a laboratory-based course where students learn by both lecture based and hands-on approaches simultaneously. Class meets once a week for three hours in late afternoon or evening.

    Requirements:

  • Master's degree in related field required, PhD preferred
  • Previous teaching experience: preferred
  • Experience with general microscopy, polarized light microscopy, comparative microscopy analysis, and/or confocal microscopy required
  • Experience working in forensic, trace analysis and/or microscopy fields preferred
  • Experience teaching in small class sizes with frequent student interaction within a diverse student population preferred.
  • Ability to adhere to University policies and procedures.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Should be committed to a culture of diversity, equity, respect and inclusion.
