Position Summary

Concordia University Ann Arbor is seeking part-time adjunct faculty member(s) to teach Spanish class(es) for the School of Arts & Sciences. The appointment will begin in the Fall 2021 semester upon the hiring of a suitable candidate and may be a renewable position. Specific areas that need to be filled include:

  • SPAN 101 Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:05 AM - 12:20 PM
  • SPAN 102 Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:35 PM - 1:50 PM
  • Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides evaluation
  • Responsible for meeting with assigned students throughout the semester
  • Provides a quality learning experience for students on a semester basis.
  • Adjunct faculty reports to the chair and performs instruction-related duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies, and procedures of the university
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organization skills
  • Record of professional engagement is desirable
  • Supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS)

    Education and Experience

    Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Spanish from an accredited institution. 18 credits is the minimum we require to be considered for hire.

    Compensation and Benefits

    This is a part-time, exempt (salary) adjunct faculty position. Salary is based on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
