The College of Health Science and Human Performance Department of Social Work at The University of Texas Permian Basin (UTPB) invites applicants for the position of Adjunct Faculty for Social Work courses.
REPORTS TO: Chair, Department of Social Work
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Adjunct Faculty for Social Work serves in a part-time capacity at the Odessa campus. Dependent upon an applicant's qualification, they will teach courses in policy, practice, human behavior, research, or social justice.
SPECIFIC TASKS AND DUTIES:
1. Adjunct's primary duty is teaching in-person in the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program in professional expertise and training areas.
2. Attending instructor training.
3. Planning and organization of the course, use of pre-approved syllabus.
4. Instruction throughout the entire semester.
5. Administering tests, assignments, and grading.
6. Being available to students through office hours.
7. Posting grades.
8. Proficiency in the simple syllabus.
9. Work collaboratively with faculty and staff to fulfill university, college, and department missions.

Required Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:
1. MSW or Ph.D., DSW from an accredited program.
2. Two (2) years post-MSW professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Higher education teaching experience.
2. Texas LCSW.
3. Curriculum development.
