Job Summary

The Evergreen State College Master of Public Administration Program seeks a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach its Tribal Governance concentration course in Tribal Policy. The successful candidate will teach the 4 credit hour Tribal Policy course over two intensive weekends in Winter Quarter 2022. The course content includes methods of policy analysis, policymaking process in tribal governance, and policy issues central to tribal governments in Washington State. Job Expectations

Faculty are generally responsible for evaluating 15-25 students per MPA elective, per quarter. Faculty are also responsible for advising students in their respective area(s) of expertise regarding skill development and career opportunities and possibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in public administration or related field
  • Experience in teaching graduate-level courses in public administration or related field OR two or more years of professional experience in public administration in Washington
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in public administration or related field.
  • Two or more years of professional experience in tribal governance in Washington State
  • Conditions of Employment

    As a condition of employment, persons hired must provide proof of identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of beginning work.

The college will contact current and past employers to verify this information.
