Job Title Adjunct Faculty – LIBA 112: Film & Narrative Job Type Part Time Job Status Adjunct Job Summary/Basic Function

LIBA 112: Film & Narrative.

Introduction to the visual techniques and language of film, exploring how they are used to define character and communicate narrative and theme. Examines connection between visual design and storytelling by focusing on editing, mise-en-scene, and narrative.

Minimum Qualifications

• A master's degree in the teaching discipline or a master's degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline) • A repertoire of engaging teaching techniques that reaches out to a variety of learning styles • Familiarity with digital technologies in teaching

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD or other terminal degree in a relevant subject area. • College level teaching experience • Strong interest or background in an art and design school environment
