The East Tennessee State University Department of Art & Design invites enthusiastic and experienced colleagues to join our part-time instructor team. We are currently seeking qualified applicants to teach 4D Design, a 1000 level foundations course focusing on time-based art principles.

Art and Design adjunct instructor compensation: $1000 per credit hour.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

4D Design is offered both as on-ground and online sections each semester. Course content and lectures are provided to instructors to use. Provided course content is open to instructor alterations. Online course sections are available to be taught by out-state instructors.

Required Qualifications

MFA in Studio Art or equivalent degree in a field recognized within the discipline.

The ability to teach video editing software (i.e. Adobe Premier, iMovie, filmora), and knowledge of contemporary video, performance, and/or other mediums that unfold over time (i.e. interactive art, sound art, artist books, film).

Preferred Qualifications

One year or more of teaching experience as instructor of record at the college level.

Experience teaching in a wide range of media, including analog and digital.
