Department Summary
The Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology is one of two departments in
the UNTHSC School of Public Health. The Department strives to become a model
for educational excellence, innovative and collaborative research, and high-
impact public health practice that positively affects health issues
regionally, nationally, and globally. Our goal is to provide a collegial
interdisciplinary learning environment that produces strong researchers and
public health practitioners who use biostatistics, epidemiology, and
environmental health theories, principles, and methods to significantly
improve health at the population level. The faculty in the Department have
diverse expertise in areas such as maternal and child health; healthy aging;
cancer; quasi-experimental trial methodology; substance use surveillance; and
vaccination programming, as well as in the development of novel statistical
methods applied to clinical trials, neuroimaging, survey sampling, and
genetics. The faculty efforts have led to numerous high-impact publications
and external funding from the National Institutes of Health, Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention, and State of Texas agencies.
Position Summary
The Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology in the School of Public
Health at the University of North Texas in Fort Worth is seeking adjunt
faculty in the field of Environmental Health / Environmental Epidemiology.
Adjunct faculty plan courses and evaluate learning objectives and competencies
with a focus in quality, rigorous teaching at the graduate level. The position
requires course resonibility, including offering office hours. Successful
applicants will demonstrate a knowledge in the core area of Environmental
Health.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will posseses the following required qualifications:
Masters degree or equivalent in environmental health or a related field is
required prior to employment;
Recognition or promise of outstanding contributions as a scholar in the
area of pedagogy;
Experience with real-world applications of environmental health;
Preferred Qualifications
Prior teaching experience at the graduate-level is preferred;
Doctoral degree in Environmental health, public health, or a related
field.
A strong record of effectively teaching graduate courses related to
environmental health.
Experience teaching courses in an online delivery system
Required License / Registration / Certification
