Job Description

The Accounts Payable Analyst is a key member of the Payroll and Payment Services team and works closely with departments across Boston University to correctly upload and reconcile invoices for the organization, oversees Accounts Payable payment runs, manages approval process, and remediates issues with suppliers and other constituents.

Major duties of this position include:

  • Handles all check reissuances and stale check processes.
  • Manage payment run schedule and processing to include onsite check printing, offsite check printing, ACH (Paymode), ACH via Treasury, and E-payables (credit card).
  • Oversees the E-payables Process.
  • Working with management to help grow the group of suppliers paid via E-payables.
  • Manages special projects and updates to SAP involving payments and follow trends in the payments industry.
  • Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 3-5 years of work experience, preferably in a university or accounts payable environment
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize routine tasks and ad-hoc requests
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented, demonstrating accuracy and quality of work output
  • Ability to work (both independently and in conjunction with others) effectively and cooperatively in a small, collegial team environment.
  • Experience in analyzing data to determine relevant conclusions and suggest appropriate actions to management
  • Preferred Skills:

    Knowledge of University policies and procedures and federal regulations to advise customers and resolve inquiries.
