Accounting Officer in Capital Estate Projects Team of the Finance and Enterprises Office (Ref.: 523832) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should have a recognized Accounting or Finance-related degree with at least 3 years' relevant work experience, OR a Higher Diploma with 5 passes in HKCEE including English (minimum Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007) or minimum Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language with at least 6 years' relevant work experience in accounting or finance. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (preferably Putonghua); proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Chinese input; the ability to work independently; and be self-motivated. Those with work experience in tertiary institutions/large organizations, and knowledge of using Oracle financial system would have an advantage.
The appointee will perform executive duties in financial accounting, management accounting and project account management. He/She will handle financial accounting matters including preparation of journal entries, processing of payment vouchers and purchase orders, and monitoring budgetary control matters. The appointee will also uptake other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Applicants with less experience/qualifications may be considered for appointment as Accounting Executive.
