Accounting Executive (several posts) in the Finance and Enterprises Office (Ref.: 523784) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

Requirements:

  • minimum Level 2 in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, OR 5 passes in HKCEE including English (minimum Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics;
  • at least 1 year's work experience, preferably in accounting, auditing, and/or banking;
  • a good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  • good knowledge of PC and software applications such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • experience with Oracle Financials is a plus;
  • self-motivated and good team player, with the ability to work independently;
  • student member of a professional accounting body has an advantage; and
  • fresh university graduates will also be considered.

    • Responsibilities :

  • handling various finance functions for Faculties and Departments;
  • general accounting duties such as budgetary control, payments and receipts processing, and journal entries preparation and posting;
  • preparing statement of account for funding bodies;
  • some data entry and clerical work; and
  • other accounting duties as required.

    • Subject to performance review, good performers will have the chance to be promoted to Accounting Officer. Those who have responded to the previous advertisements (Ref.: 523325 and 522935) need not re-apply.

    A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
