Performs professional accounting work involving the recording, analysis and reporting of financial data in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and federal, state, university and NACUBO guidelines, in a major business area, such as student billing system, Federal Title IV programs, or General Accounting.

Qualifications
Bachelors and 3 years experience
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.
Additional Job Posting Information
Accountant III position is responsible for performing reconciliations and generating reporting for distribution to business offices and/or Executive leadership within the Administration and Finance division. All reconciliations and reporting are generated/ presented within an excel file format. Candidate should be familiar with excel on at least an intermediate level or willing to learn specific functionality within the first 3 months. This position is also responsible for assisting with day-to-day business office operations for an assigned department which could include journal entries, AP vouchers, requisition entry, and/or special projects.
Department willing to accept experience in lieu of education. Due to budgetary constraints, the salary range listed within the posting is non-negotiable. Please attach your resume and at least 3 professional references including 1 of current/previous supervisor.

Salary: 3,881.00 - 5,047.00
