Under general supervision, this position serves as a critical member of the College of General Studies' Office of the Dean. This position is responsible for various accounting duties and analysis following generally accepted accounting principles and procedures. This position will prepare financial transactions to account for the activities of the College of General Studies, including month-end and year-end journals, cash receipts, correcting entries, and cash and budget transfers. This position will also prepare financial reports used by Leadership in making data-driven decisions and forecasting and projections for financial programs and sustainability of the unit. This position ensures accuracy of the unit's financial reports and data within the University's financial system. This position will also be responsible for answering questions and providing accounting and financial guidance to internal and external stakeholders according to established policies and procedures. This position will assist in the budget development of the division, working with various leaders on the two branch campuses, as well as managing the parking programs at both the Waukesha and Washington County campuses.
A portion of this position will be working for the Center of Urban Population Health to ensure accuracy and compliance with various grants and contracts. This position will execute financial transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and procedures. This position will provide financial reports and ensure accuracy of the financials related to the grants,
contracts, and sub-awards of the Center.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. This position is within Salary Grade 19 with a minimum salary of $50,000/annually. Final offer for salary will be contingent upon individual candidate skills, knowledge, and abilities as they relate to the position. This position will be located on the UWM Waukesha campus in Waukesha, WI. A hybrid of remote and in-office work days will be discussed after an initial training/probationary period.
