Job Summary

To provide valuable financial support services to the University community. This includes assisting in the preparation of accounting reports, reconciling the daily cash receipts, processing DR daily journals, processing working funds, and processing student refunds. Review and approval of daily cash journals. This position also assists faculty and staff with various accounting needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reconcile daily cash receipting.
  • Process student refund pay cycle & Mail AP & Student Refund Checks.
  • Assist University Community with questions and accounting needs.
  • Review and approve daily cash receipting entries.
  • Prepare reports and reconciliations.
  • Process returned checks in mail.
  • DR Daily Journal Processing.
  • Review Working Fund requests for approval, reconcile working fund balances, assist UTA departments with working fund procedures, including closing working funds.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Required Qualifications

    Three years of experience in governmental or commercial accounting.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience in Higher Education Experience in PeopleSoft Financials and Campus Solutions Strong computer skills including MS Excel
