Conference of Colleges Grade 6: £30,502 - £36,386 per annum, pro rata

The Conference of Colleges is a forum and a voice for the University of Oxford's colleges and permanent private halls. It develops policy on matters of common interest and works closely with the rest of the University.

The Conference is supported by a Secretariat, based in the University Offices, Wellington Square. It is looking for an Academic Policy Support Officer to provide high level administrative support on a wide range of academic business. You will support the Deputy Director, drafting papers and minutes for a number of academic-related committees, managing the annual quality assurance process of colleges' academic provision and assisting with occasional project work, data analysis and report-writing. You may also become involved in other areas of the Secretariat's work.

Excellent written and oral communication skills are key to success in this role. You will also demonstrate high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as flexibility and the ability to manage multiple deadlines. You will be comfortable working both in a small team and with colleagues across the colleges and University, and will have some experience of administrative work in an academic or related environment.

The post is 0.6 FTE and some flexibility can be offered in how these hours are worked, subject to operational needs which include servicing key committees and meetings.
