The University of Greenwich is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and reliable Academic Integrity Champion.

Position Overview:

Are you passionate about upholding academic integrity and promoting ethical behaviour within the university community? Are you a current student in the Executive Business Centre (EBC), looking to make a meaningful impact on campus? If so, we invite you to apply for the position of Academic Integrity Champion at Greenwich Business School. Kindly be aware that this is a paid opportunity exclusively available to current students in EBC. The role will entail a commitment of approximately 15 hours of work per term.

Position Description:

As an Academic Integrity Champion, you will serve as a dedicated student leader in promoting academic integrity and the responsible use of generate AI among your peers. You will play a pivotal role in shaping a culture of honesty, responsibility, and trust within Greenwich Business School. Your responsibilities will include:

Peer Education: Provide information and guidance on academic integrity principles to fellow students. Lead or contribute to workshops, presentations, and lecture shutouts to raise awareness about the importance of ethical academic practices.

Policy Familiarity: Be familiar with aspects linked to our Assessment Misconduct Policy and the University's position on the responsible use of generative AI.

Campus Engagement: Participate in welcome week sessions and academic integrity symposia and GSU/university campaigns to engage with students and share insights on academic honesty.

Outreach and Awareness: Organise events, campaigns, and initiatives that promote a culture of academic integrity on campus. Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop policies and practices that support integrity.

Student Advocacy: Amplify the student voice on academic integrity matters, ensuring that student perspectives are heard and considered in decision-making processes.

Team Collaboration: Work as a team with other Academic Integrity Champions to collectively champion and promote ethical behaviour and academic integrity on campus.

Experience and Skills

  • Currently enrolled as a student in a programme as part of the Executive Business Centre (EBC).
  • Strong commitment to academic integrity.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Enthusiastic and proactive approach to peer education and advocacy.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
