  • Based at the city campus but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University.

  • About You

    The successful applicant will be responsible for the provision of innovative partnerships and effective leadership in pre-service and post-initial contexts of education in Australian and international contexts and able to contribute to research related to partnerships, professional practice and working with relevant program teams and quality improvement processes.

    To be successful in this position, you'll have as a minimum:

  • Knowledge of the theory and practices related to education and significant experience in research and teaching related to a combination of the specialist areas listed above in the area of partnerships and professional experience.

  • Successful experience in school settings or related professional experience together with the demonstrated capacity to introduce innovations in teaching, particularly with respect to local, regional and international settings and internationalisation of the curriculum.

  • Demonstrated research profile and capacity to contribute to the School's research priorities in teacher education, partnerships and professional experience. Other scholarly areas are welcome in the areas of leadership, inclusive education and social justice.

  • Demonstrated capacity to plan strategically and provide creative solutions to problems work effectively in a team and communicate successfully with others in achieving quality learning.

  • Demonstrated capacity to work across international, disciplinary and sector boundaries so that links across all Schools, College and University may be enhanced.

  • Qualifications:

    PhD or equivalent research doctorate in a relevant field

    Preferred:

    Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers or Youth Workers Australia

    The School of Education is one school within the College of Design and Social Context and offers undergraduate and postgraduate studies in education, pre- service teacher education, early childhood education, educational research, professional learning and short courses.
