Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's and Master's degree preferred in Education, Psychology, Sport Management, or a related field. Experience in collegiate athletic academic support, higher education, teaching or related field. Experience working with academically at-risk student-athlete populations. Familiarity with NCAA rules and regulations.
Position Summary
University of Georgia, a Division I member of the Southeastern Conference is currently seeking applications for the position of Academic Counseling Intern. The position is an 11-month appointment beginning in July 2023 and ending in May 2024.

Duties/Responsibilities
Assist with daily operations related to football academics and administrative tasks to support the Associate Director of Academic Counseling and the Assistant Athletic Director – Academics.
Percentage of time 40 Duties/Responsibilities
Work with a small caseload of football student-athletes to ensure a smooth academic transition to college and to develop study skills, time management, and organization.

Assist Football Counselors with data collection and assigned projects.
