Job Summary
To provide advanced professional knowledge, advise and counseling regarding
the institution's student admission and recruitment process for UTA's College
of Nursing and Health Innovation. In addition, recruit prospective online and
international students to the College of Nursing and Health Innovation and
counsel them on the admissions process.
This position will require travel and will be based on recruitment needs
by various Texas community college regions
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Recruitment and outreach activities
Recruit private and public high school, charter school, community college,
transfer, veterans, undergraduate, graduate, international and other
professional degreed students to apply and enroll at UTA's College of
Nursing and Health Innovation for the RN to BSN, Bachelor, Graduate,
Licensure, Nurse Practitioner or Kinesiology programs.
Organize, create, and participate in off-campus and on-campus recruiting
events including, but not limited to preview days, college fairs,
classroom presentations, information sessions, community outreach events,
and high school and community college events.
Responsible for developing and implementing recruiting strategies to
achieve target goals. Create and maintain a prospective student contact
and information database.
Create and execute email, traditional mail, and social media and phone
marketing campaigns for prospective and UTA enrolled students. Travel to
conferences, high schools, colleges, and other learning institutions to
publicize and explain admission requirements and procedures for the
academic programs in the College of Nursing and Health Innovation.
Assist prospective students with understanding the requirements for
admission to UTA and the College of Nursing and Health Innovation.
Assist international students with language testing, visa and other
related recruiting/admissions issues.
Review and evaluate prospective students' transcripts and provide general
counsel on the requirements needed to meet qualifications for enrollment
in all the College of Nursing and Health Innovation's academic programs.
Monitor all CONHI UTA reports related to recruiting and admissions,
contact students and assist in enrollment or re-enrollment, and connect
students to financial aid, registrar, housing, orientation, advising,
veteran's office or other organizations on campus.
Assist with administrative and office functions related to recruiting,
admissions and community outreach. Reply to phone calls, correspondence
and email from prospective students and their family members. Develops
evaluation procedures. Performs data entry tasks. Prepares correspondence.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Represent UT Arlington College of Nursing and Health Innovation at college
fairs, conferences, high schools, and community colleges and other
recruiting opportunities.
Plan long-term student recruitment strategies and programs including
development of presentations and marketing materials for the
undergraduate/graduate market.
Plan and implement recruitment activities and meetings for prospective
students on and off campuses. This requires occasionally working nights
and weekends, and some travel including possible international travel.
Assess recruitment progress and keep records of prospective student
contacts.
Participate in the campus wide Recruitment Coordinating Committee
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and one (1) year of experience in student recruitment
or student services with a knowledge of higher education application and
entrance requirements.
Successful recruiting experience and experience using a Customer
Relationship Management (CRM) such as Slate, HubSpot or other type of
similar database management platform (experience can be before the degree
was conferred).
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's and/or master's Degree with 1 year of experience in
undergraduate/graduate student recruitment, transcript evaluating,
residence life and/or advising high school, community college, transfer
and university students on education and career choices.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak
professionally in front of large groups. Computer skills, including, but
not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform such
as Slate or HubSpot for student recruitment. Experience using MyEmma, Fire
Engine Red or other email marketing software, and Adobe Illustrator,
Photoshop and InDesign, MyMav and ImageNow (Perceptive Content).
Experience developing graphics, marketing, advertising and promotional
materials online and hardcopy.
Experience in social media, traditional, email and online marketing.
Working Conditions
Standard office setting. Repetitive use of keyboard. Ability to travel to
different campus locations. May include remote and virtual academic advising
work outside an office.
