  • Position Summary
  • One temporary hourly-intermittent Work Study Student Assistant position in Capital Planning and Facilities Services.

  • Start Date

  • Position available on or after August 28, 2023 and ending on or before May 31, 2024. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

  • Job Description/Duties

  • Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Assist with general clerical duties, entering data into a computer database, filing records, sending and receiving emails, answering telephone calls, and relaying messages.
  • Assist with providing basic troubleshooting with campus users over the phone or via email regarding the 25Live system, reservation requests, and space conflicts/errors.
  • Assist with gathering data (i.e. photos, layouts) and uploading into 25Live database.
  • Assist with running reports and event data to provide key insights to other staff and departments.
  • Assist with reviewing event request information, ensuring all information is properly inputted, and requests are processed in a timely manner.
  • Assist with working with campus departments to ensure understanding of and compliance with the Facilities Scheduling Procedures and Guidelines.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to assist in developing procedures and making systematic changes to 25Live
  • Other duties as assigned.

     Qualifications
    

     Preferred Qualifications: 
     Demonstrates the ability to maintain ethical conduct and confidentiality.
     Demonstrates the ability to take direction and show sound judgement.
     Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
     Demonstrates intermediate computer skills, including functional knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
     Demonstrates attention to detail and critical thinking skills to solve problems
     Demonstrates familiarity with campus buildings, grounds and parking lots.
     Demonstrates availability over the summer and winter breaks, with potential to work up to 40 hours/week.
    

    Required Qualifications:

     Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
     Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
