Job Title 2023 Summer Staff: EventsPosition Type Student Job Description
Campus Center & Events Summer Staff Supervisor: Hailee Reeder Student employee supervisor: Hailee Reeder Location: Radford 210 Summer hours are flexible; weekends will be expected.
Essential Duties Summary
Set up & tear down tables and chairs in meeting spaces across campus according to the Meeting Event Order (MEO) and diagram specifications. Deliver equipment in a timely manner to various locations on campus. Ensure that all unused rooms are clean and set to the standard. Assist in inventory as scheduled. Inform Director of Events regarding equipment needs, rentals, supply needs, and staff issues. Assist in record keeping and filing. Answering phones and calling to confirm events and programs. Maintains a tight delivery schedule among all the service locations on campus. Maintains accurate service records for equipment in the office, file, and computer input, help with mailouts, and staffing summer camps, SOARs, and other summer events.
Required Qualifications
McMurry student applicants must be able to furnish identification to complete payroll documents as described in IRS Form I-9 “List Of Acceptable Documents” in the “Special Instructions to Applicant” section of this application. Applicants not associated with McMurry as employees or students will need to complete a W-9 form.
Minimum Required Education High School/G.E.D. Preferred Qualifications
Selection of candidates is based on skills and abilities required by Events Coordinator. Must be knowledgeable about the campus; reliable, courteous and timely. Must work cooperatively with others and take direction from supervisors. Audio and visual experience a PLUS
Physical Demands
General physical requirements may include walking frequently, up and down stairs, standing for long periods of time. Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling of equipment ranging from 10lbs-60lbs. Also may require some bending, twisting and reaching overhead.
