Position Overview
Primary Purpose of the Position
The adjunct faculty will be responsible for teaching four course sections in
the Fall 2022 semester. Courses to teach: Comparative World History: Gender;
African American History: 1865- present; and African American
Material/Methods; Intro to Global History
Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The Department of History, Politics and Social Justice seeks to enrich the
minds of our students by providing them with programs/courses that will
strengthen their minds. These positions are needed to fulfill the vital
requirement for our programs. These adjuncts are responsible for teaching:
Comparative World History: Gender
African American History: 1865- present;
African American Material/Methods
Intro to Global History

Requirements and Preferences
Position required to work during periods of adverse weather or other
emergencies No
Minimum Experience/Education
Master's Degree or higher in History or a related field, from an accredited
institution, and at least 18 graduate hours in History by the time of
appointment. Candidate must also have excellent communication, interpersonal
skills and a commitment to a liberal arts education in a diverse educational
environment.
One year or more of experience teaching History online and face-to-face
courses at the university or college level.
Normal Work Schedule
Monday through Friday
8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Prior teaching experience in a diverse university environment.
