    The position being announced here relates to the study of generative modelling deep architecture with the purpose of anticipating the action of people in robotics environment. The position entails developing novel deep learning solution models that effectively integrate generative modelling in people monitoring task such as action classification, people tracking, detection and reidentification. In particular the candidate will work under the Perseo www. perseo.eu (ITN Marie Curie) project under the activity defined in the ESR2 program. The candidate will have opportunity to work mainly at AImagelab (https: // aimagelab.ing.unimore.it/) and interact with Perseo partner institutions.

    A six month secondment in a Perseo partner institution is planned during the 2 years appointment.

    Duration: The normal period of appointment is 2 years. Start date: Ideally Jan 2023.

    The position will permit to carry out research in a stimulating group with the chance to join high-level training events. You will get a very attractive salary plus an allowances package in accordance with the Marie Skłodowska- Curie Actions (MSCA) rules and the personal circumstances of the applicant. The ESR salary is subject to local tax, social benefit and other deductions following national regulations. The exact salary will be confirmed upon appointment and is dependent on the country correction factor (to allow for the difference in cost of living in different EU Member States).     Selection process

    The CV will be evaluated by a Committee composed of Perseo Project members.

    A pre-screening phase will be carried out selecting the top-3 candidates based on the CV.

    Criteria will be:

    - scientific maturity (scientific and working experience, projects participation, previous working roles...)

    - relevance of previous experience with the proposed position

    - technical skills (e.g. programming languages, deep learning frameworks...)

    An online interview will be carried out for selecting the best candidate.

    Offer Requirements Skills/Qualifications

    Master degree or PhD in Computer Science. Experience in deep learning and Computer Vision. Experience in people detection, tracking or action classification is preferred. Experience in Python and Pytorch

    Experience of publishing works related to top computer science publication venues (CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, IEEE TIP, IEEE TPAMI, IEEE TCI, IEEE TMI) is preferred. Experience of supervising/mentoring students at bachelor, master, or PhD level is a plus.
