Offer DescriptionFondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM) is looking for qualified and motivated junior researchers (or research assistants) to fill 2 positions for the programme Labour in the Low-Carbon Transition (LiLT). The candidates will help senior reseachers involved in the programme to conduct empirical analyses on the following topics: i. the labour market impacts of climate and green policies across workers; ii. study structural transformations associated with the low-carbon transition: innovation, productivity, skill demand and emission dynamics; iii. assess the distributional effects of climate and green policies and their repercussions on political acceptability and voting patterns; iv. modeling and estimating reallocation costs associated with the low-carbon transition, v. estimating the impact of climatic shocks and pollution exposure on labour supply, health and productivity.
The researchers are encouraged to make proposals to broaden the scope of the programme, within the range of its main objectives (see here). As in any pre-doctoral appointment, the new researcher assistant will have time to pursue her/his own research agenda and will be advised by the FEEM researchers on potential career developments.

FEEM has strong ties with a worldwide network of research institutions engaged in economic research and provides excellent opportunities to focus on research and disseminate results in international conferences and stakeholders' events.
The selected researchers will be based in Milan (Italy) and will primarily focus on research projects. The researchers will also be asked to contribute to internal activities including the active participation to conferences and workshops, the writing of policy briefs and blog posts.
The job assignment is expected to begin in January 2024. Several work arrangements are possible including part- and full-time contracts. The duration of the contract will be of 12 months and could be renewed for an additional year. Gross salary is competitive and will be based on qualification and experience.
RequirementsThe candidate should have completed (or be near to completion) a M.Sc. degree in subject areas related to economics , applied statistics and data science.
