Offer Description

The position is permanent. The scientific field, for research and teaching, is experimental physics (the scientific category for the job competition is “experimental physics of fundamental interactions”. Requested research duties: The associate professor is expected to carry out research in the field of experimental gravitational wave physics. Requested teaching duties: The teaching assignments for the professor will include general and introductory physics courses compatible with the experimental physics sector, as well as possible advanced courses in experimental methods, experimental gravitation, and or gravitational wave astronomy. Maximum number of publications to be presented: 12

Applications are welcome from candidates with the following qualifications: a) candidates who have passed the Italian National Academic Qualifications Procedure (Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale) as per Article 16 of Law no. 240/2010 for the subject sector 02/A1 or one of the subject sectors included in the same wider subject sector 02/A and for the academic level that is the subject of the selection procedure; b) candidates who got the qualification "idoneità" according to “Legge 210/1998” for the position corresponding to Associate Professor, provided the qualification is still valid; c) candidates already employed as Associate Professor in other universities; d) scholars who are permanently employed in research or teaching activities at university level outside Italy in positions which are equivalent to "Associate Professor" (according to ministerial equivalences).
