DUTIES

Thompson Rivers University School of Nursing has the following sessional faculty positions available in the Health Care Assistant (HCA) program from February to April 2025:

HEAL1150: Personal Care & Assistance (Introduction to Practice - in facility) HEAL1300: Practice Experience in Multi-level/Complex Care

The successful candidate(s) will teach theory and lab/practice courses with HCA program and will organize activities related to HCA including but not limited to attending meetings, clinical agency liaison, development of student clinical assignments and conducting evaluations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Masters required; Masters in progress may be considered.
  • Undergraduate degree must be in nursing.
  • RN, LPN, BScN, and RPN applicants with applicable experience are encouraged to apply. The non-qualified language would apply if successful.
  • Practicing licence/membership with BCCNM required.
  • Teaching experience at the program level preferred; and/or
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Long Term Care, in a nurse/client relationship.

    $96.58 - $96.58 ( Sessional Faculty - Vocational non-trades (per hour) )
