 By joining the Finance and Administration Department, you'll contribute
to the construction of the future organization with innovative projects such
as a new ERP and the optimization of processes in a growing company. 
Reporting to the F&A Director, the Head of finance Service is responsible for
the overall definition and implementation of the Finance team strategy and
operations. Defines the Finance team goals aligned with the F&A department
strategy, leads the different teams and puts in place short/mid/long-term
plans to achieve goals. Manages financial risks and their impacts. Ensures
financial issues are solved promptly. Ensures service's performance and is
responsible for continuously improving financial processes, systems, and tools
to prevent issues. Is accountable for team results. Intervenes in the
definition, management and deployment of transversal projects that are
strategic for F&A. Communicates fluently with int/ext. partners and
stakeholders, including executive leadership. Convinces others to accept new
concepts, practices, and approaches. Possesses strong management and
leadership skills. Takes part in national/international networks in their
field. Is a LIST ambassador and acts accordingly.
General roles and responsibilities
Among others, and depending on their area of activity, the duties may include:
Supervises, oversees and review all operations of the Finance teams.:
 Accounting, Cash, Payables, Receivables and Financial rules
Financial Controlling / Budgeting, Financial Projects team , Procurement.
Defines, implements and follows-up short to mid-term plans and strategies
 to achieve team goals. Anticipates events or risks that could affect team
 plans and takes actions accordingly.
Oversees and monitors annual and quarterly financial processes such as
 financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
Defines timelines, coordinates teams involved, supervises execution, and
 reviews work results. Manages the coordination and discussions with LIST
 departments and units on this regard. Prepares and presents results in the
 form of reports or presentations for top management and board of
 directors.
Ensures sound communication with all internal stakeholders to guarantee
 financial processes' success.
Leads the risks assessment of financial planning, budgeting, and
 forecasting. Defines risk strategies and decides on mitigation actions in
 coordination with parties involved which may include different areas of
 LIST.
Prepares analyses, projections, reports, and presentations for the top
 management and board of directors as required.
Leads the regular review and implementation of financial directives or
 external regulations keeping LIST financial processes and systems updated
 and compliant. Ensures financial documentation is updated and prepared for
 potential audits or inspections.
Ensures problems within their area of responsibility are solved promptly.
 Makes decisions considering risks and impact.
Foresees potential problems/challenges on financial operations or activity
 based on the analysis of internal/external information. Defines preventive
 measures and coordinates with the team for implementation.
In collaboration with stakeholders, develops the LIST financial management
 system allowing LIST to execute its strategies with an efficient use of
 its resources and means.
Provides advice to RDI management on the financial implementation of
 funding programmes. Intervenes in new or sensitive cases and manages the
 financial relationship between LIST and funding institutions.
Is responsible for improving processes, systems, or tools to prevent
 problems and enhance performance of their area. Launches projects or
 initiatives to improve the performance and efficiency. Follows-up the
 development of projects and ensures the achievement of expected results.
Collaborates with different teams within LIST to ensure consistency and
 adherence to internal financial guidelines and procedures. Influences on
 policies, practices, and processes.
Maintains and takes care of complex business communications and relations
 with internal and external partners.
Guides the teams in reaching objectives and facing change or challenges.
Promotes team's development and follows-up performance. Decides on
 promotions, salary review, recruitment, and terminations.
Educates team(s) on LIST's values, policies, and internal rules; and
 ensures they are respected.
Shows an exemplary behaviour and is a role model for employees.
Is accountable for the team's outcomes, productivity, quality of results,
 and the appropriate management of assigned resources.
Ensures that the work environment of their team remains safe and healthy.
 Enforces and applies LIST HSE rules, alert of potential dangers and risks,
 and ensure their team has acquired the mandatory HSE skills established by
 LIST.

Education
Extensive knowledge of Finance and deep understanding of related areas,
obtained through master's degree in finance combined with 5 to 10 years of
experience in a similar position and continuous advanced training in their
field of activity.
Experience and skills
Solid experience in the lead of financial activities assuming
 responsibilities as expert and team leader. Ability and experience in
 leading teams composed of highly skilled professionals.
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
Strong strategy, management, and leadership skills.
Excellent skills in the use of large ERP systems and IT financial tools.
Excellent command of data visualization tools, MS Excel, etc.
Strong knowledge of project management. Acts as a project manager.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (EN/FR fluent, both orally
 and in writing).
Having a solid understanding of research companies is an added advantage
A strong understanding of the LIST RDI activities and priorities is
 considered a valuable asset.
Language skills
English and French fluent, both orally and in writing.
