The Contracts team is part of the Operations function within CISL that creates and maintains contractual templates and documentation, as well as assisting in negotiation of agreements with clients, suppliers and contractors and the reviewing of terms provided by external partners against University-approved positions. The Contracts teams also provides internal advice on contract law and related topics and liaises with the University's Legal Services office on broader legal matters and queries.
The role
This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic contracts professional to join the Contracts team within CISL. As a Contracts Advisor, you will provide friendly but professional and detail-orientated advice on contract terms, structure and application to CISL staff before as well as after signature, ensuring use of the appropriate contract templates and confirming that due diligence procedures have been followed.
Based in CISL's Cambridge office, this role will support teams across a range of projects. The role includes generating and providing contract documents from CISL's internal templates, reviewing all contract documents received from clients, and suppliers and other partners, advising which terms and conditions require amendment and supporting the negotiation, while ensuring the best outcome for CISL. Support may also be called upon from the University's Legal Services office as required.
