Assistant Director of Human Resources (HRIS) (at the rank of Assistant
Registrar) in the Human Resources Office (HRO) (Ref.: 530566)
We are looking for a seasoned Human Resources professional with experience in
HR systems implementation to join our Human Resources Office as an Assistant
Director of Human Resources to lead the digital transformation and
optimization of HR systems.
The Role
The appointee will:
Lead the digitalization strategy for HR processes and systems
Provide leadership to the HRIS Team to ensure effective utilization of HR
systems and processes
Oversee the implementation and integration of HR-related systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for
automation, data analytics, and digital innovation in HR operations
Develop and monitor HR metrics and analytics to support decision-making
and strategic planning
Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in HR technology
Qualifications and Qualities
A good Bachelor's degree, preferably with a higher degree in HR, Business,
Information Management or a related discipline
8-10 years' professional experience in HR management or administration
preferred, in a public organization or a related sector, with at least 5
years in HRIS and digital transformation
Proven ability to plan and implement HR technology solutions
Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the supervision, management,
and development of a team to deliver quality service/work
Strong analytical skills and experience with HR systems, metrics and
analytics
Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese, capable of
presenting ideas clearly and convincingly, both orally and in writing
Effective liaison and information dissemination and exchange within the
University and with external bodies, with well-developed interpersonal and
influencing skills
Ability to drive results through collaboration with different stakeholders
at the University
Strong understanding of the University's vision and mission and their
implications for overall HR strategies is a plus
What We Offer
The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 or 3
years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject
to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with
qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end
gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 15% of
basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable. Other benefits
include annual leave and medical benefits.
