Teaching is understandably one of the most rewarding jobs out there. Not only do you get to show your appreciation for a particular subject, but you also help make a difference in other’s lives. Alongside this, you’re creating opportunities for future generations.

While you may not initially think it, there are actually many different careers out there for those that enjoy teaching. From working with children to even working from home, there are options for everyone. If you’re interested, it’s definitely something to look into.

Below, we are going to discuss some different career ideas for those that love teaching. Let’s get started!

School Teacher

Out of all the teaching careers, becoming a school teacher is definitely the most popular. This job involves teaching a variety of skills that will assist students throughout their entire life. Alongside this, there are specialty areas that might just encourage them to continue their studies later on at college.

If you are interested in getting started, you’ll want to think about what age you would like to teach. There are a variety of different schools to choose from, such as public elementary and middle schools or something like this private Utah school. Each offers an entirely different experience.

Childcare Worker

If you enjoy working with children but prefer a younger age group, then becoming a childcare worker might just be the right choice for you. However, the teaching is a little bit different. Instead of Math and English, you are helping babies learn how to walk and toddlers how to use self-help skills. The first few years are the most important in our life, and a childcare worker’s role plays a very big part in this developmental stage.

Animal Trainer

Want to go down a completely different route that doesn’t involve teaching children? Then you might look into becoming an animal trainer. Their goal is to help teach animals manners while assisting owners to keep them under control. Whether it be managing food aggression, preventing mischievous behavior, or even something as simple as walking on a leash. Each day will come with a variety of new tasks.

Online Tutor

If you enjoy teaching a specific subject but don’t want a full-time job in a classroom, an online tutor can certainly be an interesting career to look into. You still get the opportunity to help others but can have a much more flexible schedule. Alongside this, there are many jobs online for these positions. From your normal subjects to things like music and art, you can teach your passion while helping others along the way. You might even look into designing your own courses.

Fitness Trainer

Becoming a fitness trainer is certainly not for everyone, but if you enjoy working out and helping others reach their goal, it could be a perfect choice. Much like being a freelancer, it offers a more flexible schedule, as you can set your clients around your desired times. You also have the potential to make a great income since there are different ways to teach. From group classes to one-on-one personal training and even online workouts, you can let your imagination run wild. Just take a look at these unusual fitness workouts, for example!

Museum Educator/Tour Guide

A museum educator is a great career choice for those that love history. You can show eager guests around the exhibits and discuss all the interesting facts to keep their jaw-dropping. While some find it challenging to complete the same tours day in and day out, it’s still great if you are passionate about it.

However, it’s important to remember that you’re not just limited to museums. There are so many different places that are always looking for guides. From ghost tours, cave systems, zoos, and even city tours, you would be amazed at the other options.

Camp Instructor

Another job that is great for teachers that don’t want to be stuck in a classroom is that of a camp instructor. Instead of regular subjects, you get the opportunity to promote and teach teambuilding alongside other fun, trusting activities. Kayaking, rock climbing, camping, arts, crafts, and more! You get to help others while having a bit of fun yourself.

Life Coach

If you enjoy forming relationships with others and assisting in making positive changes, then becoming a life coach is certainly something that you should look into. Their job is to help others achieve their goals by motivating and encouraging life changes. For example, things like their career, relationships, and even day-to-day choices. It does require a lot of one-on-one work with clients, but it can be especially rewarding when you can watch your work completely turn someone’s life around.

Freelance Writer

Freelance writing is a job that allows you to teach others without having to see them at all. By using your expertise, you can create books and articles to help inform others about a variety of different subjects. Alongside this, it’s a job that you can get without a degree, which makes it perfect for those that don’t want to go to college.

If you want something a little different, you might even look into starting your own blog or YouTube channel to get your information across. There are many different platforms that you can use.

Librarian

Last on the list, while becoming a librarian might seem a bit boring to some, this quiet and book-filled lifestyle can be very entertaining. You can make recommendations, help others find what they need, and enjoy learning yourself all at the same time. Some libraries also organize a range of different services such as children’s book time and games nights, which can also be great fun to get involved.

And that’s it! These were different careers for those that love teaching. By reading through the above, you can certainly see the vast number of options out there that can help you help others.

“More important than the curriculum is the question of the methods of teaching and the spirit in which the teaching is given”
